Automated high-end digitization
The BookTEK 5 V3 Automatic is the latest model in Image Access' 5th generation of book scanners. Redesigned to meet the latest technological and environmental standards, it offers unsurpassed image quality, simple operation, modern design and maintenance-free use for professional applications.
With its 600 dpi and a scan time of less than 3 seconds for the entire A3+ capture area, it is equally suitable for large and small digitization projects.
Motor-driven glass plate
The new motor-driven V-shaped glass plate traverses at speeds ranging from 19mm/sec to 113mm/sec, with a total stroke of 25cm, gently flattening originals using the V-shaped cradle. The contact pressure is individually adjustable, ensuring the gentlest handling of originals and distortion-free scans, suitable for a variety of materials including books, magazines, posters, folders, and bound documents of all kinds.
Additionally, the book cradle can be used in flat mode, like all other BookTEK scanners from Image Access.
Intuitive interface
The V-shaped glass plate is seamlessly controlled via ScanWizard’s enhanced user interface. The new control panel, featuring animated function buttons, allows for horizontal movement, speed adjustment, and setting the post-scan position of the glass plate, which can be customized to any level, not just the top or bottom.
If needed, the glass plate can be easily removed and reattached in two simple steps without the need for tools, offering maximum flexibility.
Full visual control
A 21 inch full HD multitouch screen allows the operator to control image quality and make many modifications on the fly. Pinch and swipe on the touchscreen the same way you would on a smartphone to zoom or move around in the image during preview.
The Live Preview function uses a second matrix camera to present a live video view of the document position before scanning.
Compact and accessible
Thanks to its very small footprint and a weight of just 31 kg, the book scanner fits comfortably on any desk or workspace. The integrated installation wizard prepares the BookTEK 5 for operation only a few minutes after unpacking.
It can be integrated into the network, enabling scanning to an SMB drive, cloud storage, Scan2Pad, email and other output targets.
